The 8th winner of the 1000 Guineas, held on Thursday 10th May 1821 over the Ditch Mile, was Zeal (4/6 fav), a brown filly by Partisan out of Zaida, owned by the 4th Duke of Grafton. A field of 6 runners contested the race which was worth 900 Guineas (Equivalent to £84,100 in 2017)
